As you can see from the magazine, the Shambhala Sun sheds a
contemplative light on all aspects of life: from politics to
relationships, money to monasticism. Other than that, there are really
no content guidelines, with the exception that we are not accepting
unsolicited poetry at this time.
We welcome
submissions between 1,200 and 4,000 words from both new and established
writers. You may send us either the final piece or a query letter
accompanied by at least two clips of previously published articles. We
do not accept query letters that are not accompanied by clips.
We publish bimonthly, in January, March, etc. Articles and art may be submitted at any time.
Send written submissions to Andrea Miller at
. Submissions can be sent as an attachment or in the body of an e-mail.
Send art submissions to Seth Levinson at
.
If your artwork is on your web-site, you can send him the URL,
otherwise please send him low resolution images. If Seth feels that we may be able to use
your work, he will contact you and ask for high resolution images.
Sometimes we are able to respond almost immediately, but it can take up to six months.
Thank you for your interest in the Shambhala Sun, a non-profit publication.
