Given our current issue’s emphasis on caring for sick and dying loved ones, we’ve asked the pioneering Frank Ostaseski of the Metta Institute and the Zen Hospice Project to share some of his wisdom about the topic with us all.
Here, then, is the first of two Shambhala Sun Audio clips with Frank. As you’ll see, he’s the consummate authority on the subject — he’s gentle, warm, and absolutely committed to his mission of “seeding of our culture with innovative approaches to end-of-life care that reaffirm the spiritual dimensions of dying.” Just click this player to listen:

A second Shambhala Sun Audio clip featuring Frank can be found here on SunSpace beginning July 6th, at which time Frank will also be taking your questions about caregiving and practicing with illness and dying, via our online commenting system. So be sure to come back and take the opportunity to interact with him. (Frank will be answering questions from July 6th through July 9th.)
And for lots more about this topic right now, visit our special “Caregiving and Practicing with Illness” page, our special “Death and Dying” page, and our “Current Issue” page, which includes links to other related Shambhala Sun web exclusives.
Thanks, as always, for listening to Shambhala Sun Audio.
