Here’s more from the translators’ conference now underway in Bir, India—which has to be one of the best-publicized Buddhist events I’ve seen; we’re getting emails daily from people talking up this historic conference and asking people to sign the petition we mentioned a few days ago. Here’s Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s keynote address from yesterday, where he asks participants who’ve travelled from all continents to Bir to “write the agenda for an ongoing translation conference that never closes because all the attendees continue to consult and work together in pursuit of a common goal.” (Thanks to the Chronicles of Chogyam Trungpa for today’s post.)
