Shambhala Sun Audio: Noah Levine, Part Three

levine-wpaudiologo-wp1Here’s the third and final installment of our interview with meditation teacher and author Noah Levine.

In this Shambhala Sun Audio exclusive, Noah talks about how he deals with all the attention he gets, and why — despite (or because of) his surprising self-characterization as a bit of a “conservative” — we might just want to consider creating a more “American” Buddhism. Thanks for listening, Ben!

Yes, Noah's got some interesting ideas — I hope more will chime in with their thoughts on them — and he certainly is a great example of how to break ground, grow a sangha, and care for the Dharma all at the same time.

I appreciate Noah's perspective a lot. When we created the Fox Valley Meditation Center in Appleton WI, http://www.myspace.com/foxvalleyzazen.com, we did not want to align with any one tradition. We had studied different forms over time and found that selecting just one did not seem to fit how we were approaching the Dharma.
