The Dalai Lama in New England: Photos

Mixing spirituality and commerce is often something to be avoided, but when you see the Dalai Lama being “advertised” on the Jumbotron at a major sports stadium, well, that somehow seems like progress to me.

His Holiness, of course, was at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA — home of the New England Patriots. Such a big event was of course covered by all kinds of media — and you’ll find links to some of that coverage, along with a handful of my own photos from the day, following here.

  • And here’s a report from my friend — and one of my favorite Buddhist bloggers — Nate, from Precious Metal.

Thanks for the linkback. It was great seeing you again Rod, especially at such a phenomenal event.
